Make Poverty History is going to be active during this election, and we need your help. Our main goal is to make poverty an issue in this election, making sure that candidates answer quesions about how they will deal with poverty in Canada and overseas.
Make Poverty History supporters are organizing all candidates meetings in many ridings, distributing posters and brochures and making sure their candidates go 'on the record' with their plans to combat poverty.
We have put together a "Vote to Make Poverty History" action kit, filled with ideas on how you can make poverty an issue in this election. Here's one of the most important sections, 'Eight ways to make poverty an election issue'. It's a good place to start getting involved to make poverty history this election.

Shame on You Harper!
While oil and gas revenues are skyrocketing so is the widening of the gap between the rich and poor in our country. When are we are going to have a government that stands up for those who are less fortunate. Almost 40 years later and we still have no commitment to a 0.7% which in fact is a CANADIAN IDEA. Do whats right for once and make a commitment!

J'aimerais bien qu'un des chefs des parties, surtout non conservateur, nous donne ses impressions et comment son partie va solutionner ce problème s'ils sont élus. Ce fait est abérrant dans un pays comme le nôtre.
