Stand Up this year was incredible. With exciting events across the country and countless Canadians taking action on the UN Millennium Development Goals. This year, Stand Up took place earlier, and just ahead of the UN MDG Summit in New York. We had over 100 events happen from coast to coast to coast, in new areas of Canada, with people who have never taken part in Stand Up before.

We need you to help us tell your story for Stand Up this year. We want to tell the world about how Canadians took action on poverty and inequality.

1. Send us your results

An integral part of Stand Up is building a critical mass of sign-ons to the Stand Up pledge and Make Poverty History. Now we need you to send us back that information.

2. Send us your photos

We'd like to see photos from your event. Send us photos of individuals and groups as well as your Stand Up moment.

3. Send us your stories

We need you to collect a story or two from your Stand Up event. These stories should be short and roughly 50 words, and give us a taste for what your event was like! Also, give us a photo to go along with the story.

Example of a Stand Up story:

"I participated in Stand Up this year through my workplace. At first I knew only a little about the MDGs but I definitely wanted to take action on global poverty. Once I saw the number of people who cared about the issue, I knew I was part of something bigger. Next year, I'm going to organize my own event!"
