The 2nd provincial Summit on Poverty is held in Moncton on October 17 from 1 p.m. to 8:30 pm and on October 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The objectives of the Summit is to show how current emphasis on charitable aid is eroding our society safety net; to inform the public on the issue of poverty and reveal the underlying forces and current trends; and to offert opportunities for sharing between people involved in social justice work.
