The G8/G20 Summit will meet in Canada in June 2010. It is a real opportunity for Canada to take global leadership on global poverty and climate justice.
Make Poverty History, together with a broad coalition of civil society groups across Canada, has developed a strong and detailed set policy platform which we will present to the Prime Minister, other party leaders, government officials and Canadian politicians.
We believe these policies are essential to dealing with the devastation of poverty - a situation made even more urgent by the current global economic crisis and the ever-mounting wreckage created by climate change.
We want this platform to be as effective as possible and therefore we are urging all organizations with an interest in the eradication of international and domestic poverty and action on climate change to join with us and endorse this document. Your support will be invaluable.
